Mother Nature doesn’t need us to help Her brace for humanity’s decay. Venus is still beautiful in its hellish way; Mother will have her day.

My response to the writing challenge that required writers to write exactly 25 words while including the word “brace”. The challenge was issued at https://sammiscribbles.wordpress.com/2025/06/28/weekend-writing-prompt-422-brace/.
This response was based on the Hothouse Earth scenario. Though Earth won’t become like Venus in the near future, it’s become a meme in certain circles to say “Venus by Tuesday” when scientists talk about the climate warming faster than expected, since Venus has surface temperatures hot enough to melt lead.
